About The Dell

Located in the scenic Fairmount Park, the Dell Music Center is Philadelphia’s premier outdoor entertainment venue. It is managed by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation.

A world class amphitheater boasting 5,284 reserved seats, with an additional 600 lawn seats, the Dell offers the very best in musical entertainment, family-oriented activities and creative learning. Originally built in 1929 as the summer home of The Philadelphia Orchestra, the Dell received a $6.2 million upgrade in 2010 to restore it to its original splendor, with a striking new gateway facade unveiled in 2014.

Since 1972, the Dell plays host to the fabulous summer concert series known as “Essence of Entertainment” with concerts held every Thursday evening. Each draws up to 5,000 patrons. The Dell is also home to special entertainment such as theater, dance, classical music, movies and more. A sponsorship is perfect for companies and brands seeking to market to diverse consumers with diverse tastes.

Key Reasons For Supporting The Dell:

Large diverse, intergenerational audiences: Every season, the Dell welcomes more than 50,000 individuals to the “Essence of Entertainment” summer concert series. These potential consumers of your brand are ages 25 – 65, live in the Greater Philadelphia region and come from all walks of life – from key corporate executives to office workers and laborers. What they all have in common is a devotion to live music and enriching cultural activities. About 1/3 of our patrons are season ticket holders who loyally support our product and food vendors which enhance every evening outing.

World renowned musicians: The Dell has hosted many nationally and internationally prominent artists with legendary performances from icons like Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughn; to classic soul singers like Patti Labelle, Jill Scott and Teena Maire; to jazz greats George Benson, Boney James and Dave Koz. The performance space is a true representation of Philadelphia’s diverse communities, with a lineup ranging from Caribbean, Latin American and a little Afro-Beat, mixed with R&B, soul, gospel and jazz to appeal across generational and cultural lines.

Robust marketing, outreach and engagement: The Dell generates in excess of 12 million direct consumer impressions per concert season from print, radio, television and web partners alone. Our sponsors are effectively incorporated into these efforts and our other multi-channel marketing that is unparalleled for a venue of our size.

In person, our sponsors have multiple opportunities for brand awareness including our outside marquee, commercials during intermission and logos on jumbo screens plus direct interaction with consumers via branded pop-ups and product sampling. Sponsors also enjoy an outstanding VIP experience to share with clients and employees.

Our outreach into the community includes robust radio advertising, print and television coverage, field marketing, cross-promotions, digital promotions and strategic use of social media channels including Twitter and Facebook.
